In 1972, Clement Allaire, who had been working in door and window manufacturing, started his own company in wood only windows. The Entreprises AM started and rapidly made itself a solid reputation. Clement Allaire’s doors and windows had different models: sliding thermos windows, sliding four windows and different kinds of shapes. The windows had the best cold-stoppers available and had the option of being covered with aluminium or remained natural.
Since 1972, Clement’s son, Pierre Allaire has been working, making doors and windows. He is the one who developed the panel window market. In 1981, knowing all the possibilities the company could have, Pierre Allaire bought the company from his father. He wanted to innovate. After a period of research, Pierre Allaire becomes the first to bring in the PVC window in Mauricie. It will be a huge success. The easy maintenance, the 90 degree hinge opening, the cold-stoppers that do not fear the cold winters impose the PVC windows as a new standard of quality.
But Entreprise AM did not stop there. A new high performance hybrid window made its’ entry. Made of PVC and aluminium extrusion on the outdoor, having the best advantages of these two worlds that are: the durability of aluminium, the beauty and isolation of the PVC. It is available in an unlimited choice of colours and 2 tons indoor/outdoor.
Since then the company has been getting bigger with the addition of two 8000 square feet buildings (one in 1997 and the other in 2005) and robotized machinery that bring even higher standards for a quality product. With these new developments, this is proof that Entreprises AM are now a regional leader.
Since 2003, Michael Allaire is slowly taking over the reigns to insure the continuity of the company. The Entrepirses AM strengthens its’ installations and invests in high computerized machinery.
